About a year and a half ago, my sister sent me "Fireproof," a movie about a firefighter who uses the Love Dare to try to save his marriage.
If you haven't seen this movie, I would recommend it to you. I mean, the acting isn't going to win any Academy Awards, but the story is a really good one. It really inspired me to want to give the Love Dare a try.
The Love Dare is a book that gives you something to do for your husband/wife/boyfriend/girlfriend (or whoever) every day for 40 days. These are things designed to strengthen your relationship and find the good in your partner.
I guess when my husband reads this, he'll probably be watching me to see how I'm putting the Love Dare into action, but that's ok. Maybe he'll read the book and give it a shot too.
I'm going to:
- Start the Love Dare on January 1 and follow through every day for 40 days.
- Record all of my experiences, so I can look back later and remember how it worked and how I was feeling
Have you heard of the Love Dare? Would you like to strengthen your relationship with someone in your life?
